Well this Saturday is the Kentucky Derby and every year i get sucked into sucking down a less than savory as Chris would call it Scope and Bourbon. Yes the Mint Julep is easily one of my least favorite adult beverages but it is tradition so every year we make em, drink em, and then spend the remainder of the day trying to get the taste out our mouths with other adult beverages. But i thought this year, why not do the research and maybe find a “better” mint julep recipe and i think i may have! This Mint Julep recipe comes from loveandlemons.com and what intrigued me is the addition of the lemon to the traditional julep recipe. I’m gonna give it a whirl and if you want, you can too! Here is the recipe enjoy!
